16 Oct Board of Elections Summary of Hearing 10-06-20
Dear West Wildwood neighbors,
We would like to update you on the Tuesday, October 6th, Cape May County Board of Elections monthly meeting. West Wildwood was at the top of the agenda as more than 80 names of West Wildwood residents have been submitted to the Board of Elections challenging voters’ residency. Of the more than 80, 55 have not returned their information and have been put in a pending status. Two have been upheld (residency was not proven) and 23 have been dismissed (residency was verified).
The Board of Elections will make another attempt to contact those residents placed in the pending status. A second packet was mailed on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. If you want your vote to count, you must complete both front and back of the domicile form and return to the Board of Elections.
Anyone can contact Michael Kennedy at the Cape May County Board of Elections and get updates. His contact information is email mike.kennedy@co.cape-may.nj.us and phone number is 609-465-1051. He indicated an email would be best.
If your vote is disqualified in West Wildwood, it will also disqualify your vote for the presidential election. You want your vote to count!
Have a wonderful day,
